A live map of the
whole class's memory.

Marks tell you who passed. They can't tell you which idea is quietly slipping across thirty students, or which "wrong" answer is a confident misconception rather than a gap. Cognivia gives every teacher that map, in real time, per learner and per class, so teaching can change before the test, not after it.

Create a class, free Talk to us about your institution How the diagnosis works →

A teacher can start now: create a class, share the join code, and watch the live map. No procurement, no setup.

Groups & roles

Organisation, group, learner, and three roles that see exactly what they should.

Add people the way your institution is already shaped: an organisation holds groups (a class, a cohort, a team); each group holds learners. Access is role-based, so a teacher sees their class and a learner sees only themselves. No spreadsheet, no shared logins.

Owner

Runs the organisation

  • Create groups, invite teachers, set the roster
  • Organisation-wide analytics across every class
  • Manage the API keys and LMS connection
  • Own the data, export or delete at any time
Teacher

Reads their class

  • The live class memory map, strong, steady, struggling
  • Drill into any learner's memory state and error types
  • See the class-wide weak spot and what kind of miss it is
  • Cannot see other teachers' classes
Learner

Owns their state

  • Their own Cognitive Passport and review schedule
  • Private by default, visible to their teacher only
  • Under 18: nothing runs until a guardian consents
  • Can export or leave, and their record is removed

One class, mapped live

See where the class is strong, steady, and struggling, then open any one learner.

This is a representative view. Tap a learner to see their per-topic memory state; tap "Whole class" for the aggregate. The colours are the states the engine assigns, not a grade.

What it changes for teaching

It turns a wall of marks into a short list of what to change next.

Find out at the exam.

Find the slip while it's small.

The one learner drifting on a topic surfaces this week, not in the report card, with the exact concept flagged.

Re-drill everything.

Re-teach only what's a misconception.

When the class-wide miss is a confident wrong belief, more practice entrenches it. Cognivia tells you it's a re-teach, not a drill.

Guess the class's grasp.

Read it, topic by topic.

A per-topic picture of the whole group, so the next lesson lands where the memory is actually thin.

Integrations

It plugs into the LMS and roster you already run.

Your school keeps every tool it already runs. Cognivia reads a learner's answers, works out the diagnosis and the memory state, and streams both into your LMS, dashboards, and reports through one clean API and standard LTI. The teachers keep what they know; the class simply gains a reading it never had before.

The memory-state API

Any learner's live memory state, one query away, so a class dashboard or a timely nudge can pull it the moment a teacher needs it.

// a learner's live memory state
GET /v1/learners/:id/memory-state

{ "concept": "Photosynthesis",
"retrievability_now": 0.91, "fsrs_stability": 7.6,
"accuracy_ci95": [0.21, 0.94],
"next_review_at": "2026-08-30" }

Plugs into what you already use

LTI 1.3 handles sign-in and roster sync; webhooks fire the moment a learner starts to slip, so the alert reaches a teacher rather than sitting in a log.

Built for a school's duty of care

A memory state is sensitive. It's treated that way.

Pseudonymised by default

Diagnostics run on which answers were right, how long they took, and a confidence rating, pseudonymised and stored on access-controlled servers.

Consent for minors

For anyone under 18, nothing is processed until a parent or guardian gives verifiable consent under India's DPDP Act.

Never sold, never advertised

Learner data is never sold and never used for advertising. There are no third-party trackers anywhere in Cognivia.

The institution owns it

Export the full record or delete it at any time. A learner who leaves has their identifiable data removed within 30 days.
